An evening with an artist
Our new friend, Treden Wagoner, has been the designer and creator of our Dutch Lake Farm Guest House web site. He has amazing technical talent, and for all his help with our web site, we truly thank him! Even more amazing than that, however, is his true passion and talent as a fine artist and painter. Greg and I were lucky enough to be invited to Treden's home last evening for a "web site maintenance 101" class, but what we really enjoyed was viewing one of Treden's paintings that had been in a show at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Treden really has a huge artistic talent and I hope to commission him to paint a portrait for us one day. You can view some of Treden's work on his web site: http://www.treden.com/
Brand new Blog
I wish that I had known about blogging prior to beginning our GUEST HOUSE construction project. The term blog stems from combining the words "web" and "log". Had I kept a log, or blog, of our construction from beginning to end (hopefully soon to be the end), I would have been able to catalog the countless unforeseen obstacles and challenges that we have encountered. Like all of the entrepreneurs, builders, and creators, who have gone before us have stated time and time again; construction always takes longer than planned and costs more than you expected.
We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I believe it will be about another three week journey to reach that end.
